This week’s Xbox gameplay chart keeps its top five—or rather, top six—pretty steady. However, Far Cry New Dawn is making a noticeable return up the ranks now that it’s back on Game Pass. With a wave of exciting Game Pass releases on the horizon, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a shake-up in the top 40 soon.
Sniper Elite: Resistance, following its fresh launch on Game Pass, has climbed to seventh place. If you’re undecided about diving in, you might want to check out Sean’s glowing review of the game. Further down the list, Halo Infinite is experiencing a resurgence too, jumping up from 23rd to 17th following its latest update.
Speaking of Far Cry New Dawn, this title finds itself stationed at 19th in the rankings after making its Game Pass return last week. Meanwhile, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has slipped again, moving from 18th to 22nd. It’s a strong game, but with a flood of big-name titles hitting Game Pass soon, players are finding it tough to manage multiple major games at once.
In other news, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, which made quite the splash in the charts with its unexpected Xbox release, has now made a significant drop from 11th to 24th. Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap also saw a decline, settling at 31st despite being one of the newer Game Pass entries.
Returning this week, we have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II at 33rd and No Man’s Sky at 36th, thanks to their recent substantial updates that are drawing players back in. Meanwhile, Eternal Strands, a recent day-one Game Pass title, has taken a tumble from 19th to 38th, with Hell Let Loose marking the end of the list at 40th.
Looking at the data for the week ending February 9, 2025, the chart is meticulously compiled from the activity of over 3.4 million keen Xbox gamers and is brought to you by Game Trends. Amid the hustle, it’s surprising we haven’t seen Kingdom Come: Deliverance II break into the top 40. This highly anticipated sequel might just be sidelined as gamers await a more convenient time to dive in given its heft and absence from Game Pass. If you’re beginning your medieval quest, don’t miss our tips to get started with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, along with a handy guide on how to acquire your trusty steed, Pebbles.
Looking forward, we’re excited about upcoming Xbox exclusives like Avowed and other intriguing arrivals on Game Pass. Which games do you predict will make it to the top ten next? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
