Pizza Hut is bridging the gap between delicious food and gaming with their latest brainchild, the PIZZAWRMR. Designed specifically for the Sony PlayStation 5, this quirky gadget keeps your pizza nice and warm as you dive into your gaming adventures. But don’t rush to stores just yet—this isn’t something up for sale. Pizza Hut Canada has generously shared the 3D printing files online for free, letting anyone with a bit of tech-savvy download, tweak, and create their very own PIZZAWRMR.
Taking inspiration from Pizza Hut’s signature red roof, this warmer features a lid that opens like a laptop, offering easy access to your pizza slices. The marketing team at Pizza Hut claims that several slices can be neatly tucked inside. Ingeniously, the hot air from your console is directed to heat the pizza compartment, a clever use of “science and engineering for the greater good,” they proudly declare.
Included in the downloadable archive are STL files along with a PDF guide. You’ll find detailed files for all components like the body, lid, and manifold stand. The PDF insists, though, that this invention is tailored specifically for console vents that measure 11.7 x 1.31 inches. Ideally, your 3D printer needs a bed measuring at least 15 x 15 inches—in other words, the likes of the Elegoo Neptune 4 Max or a Prusa XL would be your best bet, unless you opt to assemble it piece by piece.
Now, a word of caution: protect your beloved console from greasy messes by adding a 34 x 23 x 2.5 cm foil tray. This switch to metric might seem odd, but hey, it’s Pizza Hut Canada we’re talking about. They advise kicking off your gaming session for a bit to get the PIZZAWRMR heated up, then slide in the pizza slices—medium-sized ones fit perfectly.
Fast-food chains trying to woo gamers with spin-off projects isn’t a novel idea. Remember when KFC introduced their KFConsole back in 2020? What started as a hilarious idea turned into reality with an Intel NUC-powered console having a unique fried chicken drawer.
So, why not catch Pizza Hut’s livestream on the 29th and see the PIZZAWRMR in action? It’s a fun nod to the world where food meets gaming in the most entertaining way!
