With each new season, Overwatch 2 keeps players on their toes by rolling out a range of fresh cosmetics. These can be acquired through the battle pass, bought directly from the game’s store, or earned by tackling in-game challenges and events. Season 15 introduces a slew of new options for players to personalize their favorite heroes.
Among the standout additions are the Mythic skins, which offer dramatic transformations for both heroes and their weapons. Every season, new Mythic skins debut, and for Season 15, Zenyatta receives this special treatment. This marks an exciting development for fans of the Support hero, as they can look forward to a revamped aesthetic that’s nothing short of spectacular.
Zenyatta’s new Mythic Pixiu skin gives him an angelic appearance, complete with heavenly visuals and sounds for his orbs and Ultimate ability. Meanwhile, Season 15 is set to grant Widowmaker a Mythic weapon around the midway point of the season, enhancing her already intimidating presence on the battlefield. Players who enjoy competitive modes can also work toward unlocking impressive purple Galactic weapon variants.
Looking ahead, Blizzard has teased the future of Overwatch 2’s seasons. Season 16 will embrace a Maho Shojo, or “Magical Girls” theme, under the title Dokiwatch. The skins will be divided into two categories: Heroes of Heart and Hollow Hearts, with the female heroes receiving enchanting makeovers. Juno is slated to receive a Mythic skin inspired by this whimsical concept, while Mercy will wield the season’s Mythic weapon.
Season 17 won’t be any less thrilling, with D.Va getting a Mythic skin themed around a Siberian tiger, while Reaper receives the Mythic weapon spotlight. Blizzard has also hinted at collaborations in 2025, including a confirmed crossover with the popular South Korean girl group Le Sserafim. Their new batch of cosmetics will make its way into the game in March, further blending pop culture with Overwatch 2’s universe.
As players anticipate these updates, questions linger about whether these cosmetics will be obtainable through loot boxes or require store purchases and battle pass participation. Either way, 2025 promises a wealth of new skins to bolster any Overwatch 2 fan’s collection.
