Nintendo has revealed some impressive sales figures, with over 150.86 million Nintendo Switch consoles flying off the shelves worldwide.
In the nine months leading up to December 31, 2024, the company sold 9.54 million units. While this marks a 30.6% dip compared to the previous year, Nintendo credited games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder for bolstering hardware sales the year before.
When it comes to games, Nintendo has sold close to 1.36 billion Switch titles overall. However, within those same nine months, they sold 123.98 million games, showing a 24.4% decline from the previous year.
Curious about the top ten bestsellers? Mario Kart 8 Deluxe leads the pack with 67.35 million copies sold. Following closely are Animal Crossing: New Horizons with 47.44 million and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with 35.88 million. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has also made waves with 32.62 million copies sold, while Super Mario Odyssey hit 29.04 million. Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield aren’t far behind, each moving 26.60 million units.
In other titles, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet reached 26.38 million sales, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom hit 21.55 million, Super Mario Party sold 21.10 million, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe came in at 18.06 million copies sold.
