Nintendo has made it clear that exclusive games will play an integral role when they launch the Nintendo Switch 2.
This insight was shared in response to a curious shareholder who inquired about the future release of new Nintendo Switch games following the arrival of its successor at retail stores.
President Shuntaro Furukawa responded by saying, “We’ve already announced Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond as games slated for a 2025 release on the Nintendo Switch. Given the console’s popularity, we’re eager to continue developing captivating titles for it if the opportunity arises.”
He went on to say, “However, exclusive games are essential when introducing new hardware like the Nintendo Switch 2. With this in mind, we’ll explore various strategies to ensure both the Nintendo Switch and the new console offer enjoyable experiences to as many players as possible.”
Fans can tune in for more exciting details about the much-anticipated console during the Nintendo Direct announcement. The Nintendo Switch 2 presentation is set to air at 6am PT, 9am ET, 2pm BST, and 3pm CEST on Wednesday, April 2nd.
