To put that into perspective, the last four games in the series struggled to pull in over 3,900 concurrent players. That’s more than 17 times the player count seen in the previous releases!

Although there are 6,000 fewer concurrent players compared to Wo Long, it’s hard to believe that Wo Long was more profitable on Steam, especially considering Steam’s lenient return policy, which probably led to a number of Wo Long refund requests. But this isn’t about undermining Wo Long’s achievements—over 3.8 million players in two months is impressive. The real story here is the remarkable success of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, breathing new life into a beloved yet niche franchise.
