In Marvel Rivals, Team-Up abilities bring together heroes for some spectacular, theme-driven action. When these heroes join forces, they unleash powerful moves that can turn the battle in your favor, provided you know how to wield them effectively.
With the rollout of Season 2, new Team-Ups have been added, while some old ones have been cycled out. NetEase Games is committed to keeping the roster fresh, continuously introducing new Team-Ups as it expands.
In this guide, we’ll delve into the mechanics behind these Team-Up attacks and break down the abilities that each current Team-Up offers within the game.
How Team-Ups Function in Marvel Rivals
As of now, 18 Team-Up abilities complement the cast of 38 heroes available in Marvel Rivals. Two Team-Ups are currently on hold, though they may make a comeback in future seasons.
Each Team-Up provides distinct advantages when the right heroes are paired. The synergy can be seen directly on your screen during character selection, guiding you on which heroes can team up effectively.
These Team-Ups range from passive to active effects. For instance, Hela’s Ragnarok Rebirth passively revives Thor or Loki if they’re part of her team. On the other hand, Rocket Raccoon’s Ammo Overload grants an active ability, benefiting both the primary and secondary heroes involved.
It’s worth noting that benefits can be uneven. One hero might not gain much solo advantage from a Team-Up, but the ally’s presence can significantly enhance their abilities. Take Lunar Force as an example: it doesn’t boost Cloak & Dagger directly. Still, having Moon Knight in the vicinity allows him to occasionally become invisible, a strategic advantage.
While not essential for winning, Team-Ups offer immense power and are worth leveraging whenever possible. To maximize their potential, familiarize yourself with multiple characters in your favorite role so you can adapt and support an ally when needed.
