Guess what? There’s some electrifying news about 2XKO swirling around on social media, and it’s definitely adding a buzz to this month! Okay, so it’s not a groundbreaking revelation, but there’s an upcoming development update video announced, and we’re finally getting a closer look at the tweaks in the game, especially Jinx, plus details about the next round of Alpha Lab testing soon.
Who spilled the beans? None other than Mr. Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief of 2XKO, who took to Twitter with the latest scoop. He shared, “We just wrapped filming for the next 2XKO update! Though we’re in the thick of editing, production, and localization, here’s what to look forward to: an in-depth exploration of gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1 (Jinx included!), some background on Alpha Lab 2, and a showdown featuring our dev team.”
He kept us on the edge of our seats, continuing, “We’ve packed a lot into this update, so anticipate a lengthy watch—maybe around an hour? We’re aiming to release it by the last week of March. While we’re not quite ready to roll out PowerPoint livestreams for the masses yet, it’s on the horizon…”
Temper your expectations though; Ben clarified that this time around, there won’t be any new character revelations. So, don’t go placing any bets on that front—and thank him for saving us from potential disappointment.
Previously, the 2XKO team had left us hanging with a “See you next year” note, promising fresh updates in February. Instead, game director Shaun Rivera stepped in on Twitter to outline some of the shifts—specifically, a recalibration in scope for the next Alpha Labs test and a new direction for the game’s development.
Seems like the internal gears at Riot have been turning, tweaking plans and pushing the originally scheduled February update to this month. No worries, though! With the game still on track for a release this year, we can expect a comprehensive update soon about all the exciting new developments. It’s about time we get clued in on what the team has been busy with and what’s ahead for 2XKO in the real world.
