ASRock’s upcoming Radeon RX 9070 series graphics cards have started making waves online, showcasing sneak peeks of their Steel Legend and Taichi custom models.
Before their official debut, ASRock’s custom RX 9070 series GPUs have been spotted online, revealing some stunning SKUs. It looks like ASRock is gearing up with a solid lineup of AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs, particularly the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. Although we haven’t yet seen any “official” images from other board partners, ASRock’s graphics cards have been leaked, showing off three distinct models: Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger. The Taichi series appears to be ASRock’s flagship model, boasting a classy triple-fan design and a hefty heatsink, making it a three-slot beast.
What makes the Taichi model particularly stand out is the inclusion of a 12V-2×6 power connector. Not all models will feature this, as AMD has given board partners the option to include it depending on the specific power needs of their designs. The 12V-2×6 connector is said to handle up to 600 watts of power, indicating that the Taichi will be stacked with top-tier specifications and overclocking features.
Moving on to the Steel Legend model, it is considered to be a mid-range player in ASRock’s lineup. It sports a stylish combination of white and silver hues, and is designed as a 2.5-slot card with a triple fan setup. Unlike the Taichi, this variant opts for the more traditional 2x 8-pin power connectors, a common choice for AMD’s partner models, except for the high-end range like the Taichi.
As for when we can expect these GPUs to hit the shelves, it seems we won’t have to wait too long. There’s speculation that AMD will kick off pre-orders for the RX 9070 series as soon as next week, so keep an eye out.
